Jean Piaget, por\u00e9m o sentido apenas foi clarificado em 1985, quando Basarab Nicolescu formulou os pilares da transdisciplinaridade. Em 1987 foi fundado em Paris o Centro Internacional de Pesquisa e Estudos Transdisciplinarios (CIRET).<sup>2<\/sup><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">O I Congresso Mundial de Transdisciplinaridade foi realizado em 1994, no Convento de Arr\u00e1bida, Portugal, de 2 a 7 de novembro. Os participantes do congresso adotaram a Carta da Transdisciplinaridade,<sup>3<\/sup> assinada por centenas de pesquisadores transdisciplinares do mundo todo. Em 2005, foi realizado o II Congresso Mundial de Transdisciplinaridade em Vit\u00f3ria\/Vila Velha, Brasil. Muitos outros importantes congressos nacionais e internacionais foram realizados em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses.
