PARTICIPATION MODALITIES

Face-to-face Congress Modalities

There are several types of participation in the 3rd World Congress of Transdisciplinarity, either individually or collectively: lectures, round tables, symposiums, posters. Proposals for cultural, artistic, and spiritual* activities are welcomed, such as exhibitions, performances, meditation sessions, yoga, and rituals.

In all cases, the proposal must be sent through template/form until July 31, 2022.

They, with no exception, will be submitted to a selection process held by the Academic Program Committee. The accepted proposals will take part of the Congress Program. Confirmation of acceptance is sent in July 2022.

* In this event, spirituality is considered in a broad sense.

1. Lecture papers

Participation consisting of 20 minutes of exposition and 5 minutes for discussion. The presentations can be individual or collective (maximum of two participants). Once the proposal is approved, the Academic Program Committee will organize the presentations in round tables depending on the central themes.

Requirements:
To present a proposal for a paper, an abstract should be sent specifying the following: research questions, objectives and theoretical-methodological approaches.

The extension of the summary is a maximum of 1200 characters spaces included, 12-point Arial font with 1.5 spacing, in a single paragraph with no more than 5 keywords.

2. Round tables

A round table brings together four papers to discuss a topic related to the thematic areas and sub-themes, where each speaker will have 20 minutes of exposition. At the end of the speakers’ participation, 20 minutes will be allocated to open the discussion to the public. The round tables are created by the Congress organizers considering the central themes; however, it is possible for a coordinator to propose the holding of a round table.

Requirements:
Participants must submit a summary of their paper, summarizing the topic that is addressed, including an introduction, body of the topic and conclusions. The extension is no longer than 1200 characters with spaces, 12-point Arial font with 1.5 spacing, in a single paragraph and no more than 5 keywords. Table duration: 1.45 minutes.

3. Symposia

The symposia are proposed by a coordinator who gathers 4 to 6 participants to discuss, analyze and deepen on a problem related to the central themes. The objective is for each participant to take part in the debate giving their point of view and presenting theoretical-practical presentations on transdisciplinarity. This means that not only the theory is addressed, but also the applications of transdisciplinary epistemology.

Requirements:
The coordinator should submit a general symposium summary of 1600-character spaces included, with 12-point Arial font and 1.5 spacing, and should incorporate the summaries of the participating papers with an extension no longer than 1200 characters with 12-point Arial font with 1.5 spacing, in a single paragraph and no more than 5 keywords. Duration of the symposia: 2 hours.

4. Poster

The poster has the objective of sharing knowledge and information about transdisciplinary work, through graphic experience. Contributions, methodology or results of transdisciplinary work must be presented clearly and concisely.

Requirements:
Sending of a document containing the following aspects: objective, justification, methodology used and results, all this in no more than 1200 characters spaces included, 12-point Arial font with 1.5 spacing, in a single paragraph and no more than 5 keywords. Posters should measure 60cm by 90cm.

5. Cultural, Artistic, Spiritual activities during the congress

Individuals and groups of creators of any type of culture, arts, crafts, design, and religion can participate. The creations should be related to the central themes proposed in this call. These activities are open to any field of cultural production; artistic discipline related to the plastic, visual and sound arts, to design and crafts; and to spiritual practices. You can present a work or a set of works under the same title whether physical, digital or electronic or the combination of them.

Requirements:
Send the project title and a conceptual description (no more than 1200 characters spaces included, 12-point Arial font with 1.5 spacing, in a single paragraph). Plus the technical sheet or description of the features, as well as photographs of the work or works to expose. If it is a digital piece, video or sound, you must attach an internet link for the organizers to view it during the selection process.
